About Us
At Beattie Street Physio, we are passionate about providing the very best care to help you recover from injury faster and live your life pain free.
Our 1 on 1 physiotherapy consultations ensure you receive the best physiotherapy treatment individually tailored to your condition.
During your initial appointment, you can expect a comprehensive physical assessment and discussion to get a detailed understanding of your pain or injury. The most appropriate treatment will be discussed and given at your first appointment. Treatment may involve a mix of hands-on therapy, education and appropriate exercises to get you back to full fitness.
Our clinic is conveniently located in the heart of Balmain, offering accessible level access and a private treatment room overlooking a tranquil, leafy courtyard.
We welcome all patients who are covered under Workers Compensation, CTP, DVA and Medicare rebates. We also offer home visits and Telehealth consultations for patients who are unable to attend our clinic.
Meet Our Physio
LOUISE O'BRIEN
Physiotherapist / B.App.Sc.(Pthy), B.A.(Mus.)
Louise established Beattie Street Physio in 2010 to provide more personalised care for her patients after growing another successful physiotherapy practice for 10 years in Rozelle.
Her special interests range from treating pelvic, lower back and neck pain as well as headaches, sporting injuries and exercise rehabilitation. Manual therapy forms the foundation of her treatment techniques, and includes the McKenzie Method, muscle energy technique, and various soft tissue massage therapies. Louise's commitment to continuing professional development ensures that her patients receive the most proven and up-to-date treatment.
Prior to starting her career in physiotherapy, Louise worked as a professional musician, and to this day continues to play clarinet with the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra.
When not in the Balmain clinic, Louise travels with The Royal Flying Doctor Service to provide physiotherapy services to the remote community of Brewarinna, 800km northwest of Sydney.
